Porsche 918 Spyder Gets The Greenlight

For some time now we have been giving you a preview of Porsches new 918 Spyder with no word of a production date or even if they would put it into production. Well as of a couple of days ago it has officially been given the greenlight to be produced. In order to be put into production the company wanted at least 1,000 buyers so it appears that they have reached that mark.

This Porsche will feature a 500 horsepower, 78 mpg, 3.4 liter V8. You did read correctly, you get a ton of horsepower as well as a ridiculously good gas mileage. The 918 Syder has a top speed of 198 mph and will get from 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds. You can check out some more shots below and let us know what you think about this new supercar.
